Carpenter tells us that the actress was on his list for the role however she decided to decline it. Anne isn't sure if she remembers John Carpenter contacting her or offer the part. Perhaps her agent turned the part away without informing Anne. Glen Larson, who had provided her with the first draft script of a part in the tv show Battlestar Galactica from 1978, first chose her. She rejected the role initially as the character wasn't that robust. Glen developed a new character for her called Sheba, which was much stronger. She embraced the Living Legend's script after having read its first pages. It lasted for just one season. She appeared in Joyride in a film from 1977 featuring Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine (son Desi Arnaz Jr. Lucille and Lucille) and alongside Robert Carradine.
