Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to an ethnically diverse family from South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss and her mother is English. She was raised on a council estate located south of London. In the ages of 14, she attended The Brit School. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was earned. As a student at the academy, she appeared in numerous stage plays, including King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. Since then, she's been making appearances in guest roles in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), alongside Colin Farrell. The following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. The year 2008 saw her landed the part as Bambi on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the series two and three. Madekwe was a part of the comedic How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). She has performed on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, by David Watson.
Madekwe made her debut in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama show was telecast at The CW for only two episodes before being ended. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen to play Ashley Davenport. Madekwe appeared in all episodes of the show's first two seasons as the show's regular. However, in May 2013, the announcement was made that she would be departing the show following her appearance as a guest on the premiere episode of its third season. Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for the Gemini Award, hails from the large Hamilton family. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty along with her older brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. She was the top soloist in big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which were all given to Ashley.
